Online Services / Accessing your health record

NHS App

You can download the NHS App or open the NHS website up and login to access a range of NHS services online.

For more information and how to setup an account, please visit the NHS website.

Setting up SystmOnline

If you have already setup an account, click SystmOnline to go to the login page.

We recommend registering for the NHS App in the first instance however if that is not for you, read through the following steps to set up a SystmOnline account for the first time:

  • visit the surgery with photo ID so we can confirm your identity
  • we will ask you to fill out our online services form
  • if you are happy to wait a few minutes, we will print and provide you with your login details
  • use these login details for SystmOnline or to register via the NHS App

It is important for patients to understand that it is their responsibility to keep their account secure by keeping the details confidential. Users can terminate their account or reset their password by contacting the surgery. Your registration can be revoked if misuse is identified.

Your health record includes information like any conditions or allergies you have and any medicine you’re taking.

Most patients will automatically have access to more information added to their health record. This includes letters, test results and appointment notes.

You can access your health record and nominate someone you trust to access it too.

You can use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or SystmOnline to access your health record.

You’ll need to ask the surgery for online access to your full health record, or you’ll only see your medicines and allergies.

Access to other medical records

For any other medical records, you need to ask for them at the NHS service you went to. This includes records like your hospital record.
