Urgent appointments

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:

We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

Routine appointments

You can request a routine appointment in advance during opening times.

We will respond to requests within 2 working days.

Telephone consultations

We offer telephone consultations. These are for patients who feel that their problem can be dealt with, without having to see a doctor face to face.

Don’t forget, our practice nurses are also happy to give you advice over the telephone.

Improved access appointments

This practice is taking part in the improved access provision of appointments as part of Ketts’ Oak Locality in South Norfolk.

We are providing some pre-bookable appointments outside our normal opening hours. These are currently available on Tuesday’s between 18:30-20:00 but please note we have limited availability.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery
  • On a video call
  • By Email

Appointments by phone, video call or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Contacting you

The practice has a text messaging service. We may contact you this way if you have consented to receiving text messages from us.

Please ensure we have your correct mobile phone number.

If you wish to update your details, then you may do so online. Alternatively, you may speak to reception to update your contact details or if you wish to opt out of this service.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please contact the practice with 24 hours notice of cancellation so that we may give your appointment to another patient

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are not well enough to come to the surgery, please try to call the practice before 10am and give some idea of the urgency.

A doctor may phone you back, as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
