Summary Care Records
Summary Care Records contain key information about the medicines you are taking, allergies you suffer from and any bad reactions to medicines you have had in the past. To access your Summary Care Record, you will need to subscribe to our online services. If you have not already subscribed and would like to do so, please contact Reception.
GP2GP Record Transfers
NHS England requires practices to use the GP2GP facility whenever possible for the electronic transfer of patient records between practices. If you register with a new GP, your medical records will be forwarded to your new GP via NHS England. It can up to two weeks for your paper records to reach your new surgery. With GP2GP, your electronic record is transferred to your new practice much sooner. Hingham Surgery uses the GP2GP transfer whenever it is possible to do so.
Detailed Coded Records
Patients subscribed to our online services can now ask to see their ‘Detailed Coded Record’ online. Detailed Coded Records contain anything ‘coded’ in your medical record such as medication, allergies, illnesses, immunisations and some test results. To request access to your Detailed Coded Record, you will need to subscribe to our online services. If you have not already subscribed and would like to do so, please contact Reception. We aim to respond to all Detailed Coded Record requests within 28 days.
We ask all patients requesting access to their online Detailed Coded Record to understand and agree with the contents of our patient information leaflet:
